The Social Experiences Study

The Social Experiences study is a study about caregiving and social experiences. We are currently seeking adults age 65+ who are living with a spouse or partner who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer Disease or a related dementia to participate in the study. Please note that to participate you must be living in the South or Central Vancouver Island area, or in area of Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.

How will you benefit?

Your participation will contribute to understanding social experiences and informing ways to improve social supports.

What is involved?

A 1 hour session discussing your social life and caregiving experiences.

Completing questionnaires at home about feelings, perceptions, and social support, to be returned by mail.

When & Where:

Scheduled at your convenience.

Completed in an agreed upon location of convenience or, for Victoria area participants, at the University of Victoria Centre on Aging.
