Scott HoferScott M. Hofer Co-Director

Scott M. Hofer is Professor and Harald Mohr, M.D. and Wilhelma Mohr, M.D. Research Chair in Adult Development and Aging in the Department of Psychology and Centre on Aging at the University of Victoria, Canada. He is Past President of the Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology and is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Divisions 5 and 20), Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, Gerontological Society of America, and the Royal Statistical Society.

His research focuses on describing changes in cognition and health and identifying early indications and predictors of individual change in longitudinal studies of aging and within-person day-to-day dynamics between psychological and physiological processes using intensive measurement designs. He is Program Director of the Integrative Analysis of Longitudinal Studies on Aging research network, comprised of over 45 longitudinal studies with an emphasis on international comparison and replication of aging and health-related change in cognition and well-being.
